The heroes of the traumatic scene in Las Vegas just days ago are our military veterans and police officers. Putting their training to use during the mass shooting, many plugged bullet holes with their fingers according to reports.

Plugging gunshot wounds helps start the body’s defense mechanism to prevent rapid blood loss. Severe wounds, especially ones on the neck must be plugged with fingers or packed quickly to stop hemorrhaging.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those families affected by this deadly mass shooting.
